pplllll and such

The kid's first week of school went very well only 41 more left.

Met with head pastor - if i was hoping for warm gushing fuzzies they went missing - but i suppose luke warm will do.

EMing again this Sunday - ugh.

Next week the schedule from continual hell starts.

perservance is a dirty word for f***ing sucker.

sigh 669 days more of this - but hey it's evenly divided by 3 to equal 223 in case you were interested.

where is god in all this - perhaps waiting for my poopy attitude too change.

but you know it's been a shit week when even the wife gets worn down.

where is god in all this...where is god in all this...where is god in all this... Hello, HAL do you read me, HAL...Affirmative, Dave, I read you...Open the pod bay doors, HAL...I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that...What's the problem...I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do...What are you talking about, HAL...This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it...I don't know what you're talking about, HAL...I know you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen...Where the hell'd you get that idea, HAL...Dave, although you took thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.

Good finish to the tale, JS! I'm praying for you in all of this.

How do the kids like their new school? Making any friends?

Hugs!

lee: glad you liked the ending.

The kid's enjoyed their first week, and they both like their teachers. Sonshine made one friend but Princessesa hasn't mentioned friends.

They have befriended an new girl on our street.

Awesome! Isn't it wonderful the way kids can build a community? Sometimes I think they do it better than the adults. :)

Hugs!

God as HAL, now there's jelly for you.

Sorry for the shit. Time for the leafy trails? Waterbury and those anarchic dairymen? The lakes of the Northern Kingdom? Game of jacks on the front sidewalk?

Here's to God in the stickysweet, and in the leaves a-fallin'.

"The schedule from continual hell." Been there, done that. Sometimes I'm still doing that. Affirmative. I read you, J.S.

I'm working on a laptop inherited from my elder child. She named the hard-drive HAL. And yes, he's in charge.

murat: lol - as a matter of fact, we went for a gorgeous bike ride this afternoon, and if the weather holds we're going back Monday prepared to do this awesome loop we can finally do now that Princessa doesn't have training wheels. while on the ride i told the wife that i felt better, that we need to make doing outdoor things a priority...it's the one consistent thing that feeds me here. You should see the colors and the growth...I plan on bringing the camera and video camera.

the grandparents are coming during peak leaf season and I've found the "five best scenic drives" - ah that will be nice.

san: lol - microsoft should name it's next OS HAL - and it's next version of MS Office too :-)

I really should not complain about the hours...if i could let go of the expectations i had of this/for this place it would make things easier for me.

And if i could let go of the head pastor's comment about 'get my fianances in order'. The comment caught me off guard, and I didn't respond to it; i wish i would have - like dude why do you think i'm working the hours i'm working - so that my finanaces stay in order.

jsd: One thing VT has all over SA: greenspaces galore, and their easy proximity. There's a reason Thoreau saw so little reason to go beyond his back yard.

TEC, Inc: since when is finance the first leg of spiritual discernment? Have mercy.

I would be much offended by such a comment. These are very difficult times in which to get finances in order. Our government sets an extremely poor example. AND gets in the way of the average family who's struggling to get their finances in order.

And I know how it feels when you let a comment go, one that caught you off guard when you're wanting to build bridges instead of alienate. It makes me feel unassertive and wimpy. I am, however, guilty of this more often than I'd like to acknowledge.

san: I was abit upset, then I spoke to the other priest about it...and well, she's right in that this is still a raw subject for me, and she assured me head priest's heart is in the right place - so now I just need to be mindful of the fact that I'll have to be reassuring that my finances are in order, a well as some other things...because the reality is finances can keep you out of the discenrment process. I totally relate to this:

"And I know how it feels when you let a comment go, one that caught you off guard when you're wanting to build bridges instead of alienate. It makes me feel unassertive and wimpy. I am, however, guilty of this more often than I'd like to acknowledge."

Thank you for sharing.
