"Untitled" reminds me of this:

Bilal, the slave of Omaiyah bin Khala was severely beaten by his master when the latter came to know of his conversion to Islam. Omaiyah tortured Bilal in the blazing heat of the desert sun by placing a heavy rock on his chest and lashing him with a whip, all the while commanding him to renounce his belief in one God. Bilal could do nothing other than raise his one finger and say, Ahad, Ahad, one, one.

You are in our thoughts.

murat: thank you, this is beautiful and incredibly thoughtful.

After I posted this I went through some of my church stuff trying to get organized, and read a prayer that left me in tears:

"Lord, I Will Trust You"
Lord, I will trust you,
help me to journey beyond the familiar and into the unknown.

Give me the faith to leave old ways and break fresh ground with You.

Christ of the mysteries, can I trust You to be stronger than each storm in me?

Do I still yearn for Your glory to lighten on me? I will show others the care you've given me.

I determine amidst all uncertainty always to trust.

I choose to live beyond regret, and let You recreate my life.

I believe You will make a way for me and provide for me, if only I trust You and obey.

I will trust in the darkness and know that my times are still in Your hand.

I will believe You for my future, chapter by chapter, until all the story is written.

Focus my mind and my heart upon You, my attention always on You without alteration.

Strengthen me with Your blessing and appoint to me the task.

Teach me to live with eternity in view.

Tune my spirit to the music of heaven.

Feed me, and somehow, make my obedience count for You.

Lord, I will trust you.

Ooh...! Was gonna copy the prayer and save to word doc, then discovered at the bottom that I had the book. :) Thanks for sharing that.

From Robert's sermon on Cesar Chavez (3/30/08) - There was one quote that really afflicted me the most. Talking about the sacrifices he (and his family) had made to carry out his work, he said, “You can't change anything [You can’t change anything] if you want to hold onto a good job, a good way of life and avoid sacrifice."

Don't guess that makes things easier, but you are loved, prayed over, and wanted whenever you need to be in touch with me or those who are watching your progress from down here. We're all willing shoulders with investments in Kleenix Inc.

Hug JS!
