jsd: That is both awesome (the video and your posting of it) and downright embarrassing (my ineptitude in attempting same). I'm still clueless. It's not like I haven't done this before.

Still, many thanks. Great song, wildass performance. The current Maria McKee has to be an impostor, but I suppose folks from 20 years back in my life could say the same of me.

Peace/out.

murat: I've had the same problem embedding links from YouTube to Blogger myself; here's the two tricks I try:
(1) Copy the link into Notepad, and then paste from Notepad to Blogger
(2) From YouTube, click the embed label/link (the html will highlight), press ctrl-c, and then paste this within Blooger.

Trick #2 is what worked for me.

Maria McKee's dancing made me think I was watching a new wave/punk rocker - she was dancin' like I used to back in the day.

It is indeed an awesome video.

Molto grazie, jsd: the avatar has landed. What happened to the old Youtube daze? You just clicked a post button and voila!

Cool music and performance! Thanks for posting it JS.

My method for video embed includes opening a second tab for the YouTube video so I can go back and recopy if I need to. Can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to switch blogger over to the "edit html" tab.

Surprisingly enough, when I copied a live radar image and just pasted the whole thing into blogger's WYSIWYG tab it created an html version and I got actual radar that updated as the day passed.

Joy!

I'll chime in and mention that yes, when I posted my Godfather Horse's Head Scene YouTube recently, the process had become a bit more complex. I don't remember what I did to make it work, but it didn't involve Notepad. What's Notepad?

You PC people speak a different lingo. At least I'm assuming it's PC lingo.

san: Notepad is a free Windows/XP/Microsoft "note pad" - it's alot like typing with a typwriter. Not many features, but it does strip out sometimes nasty MS Word encoding and other such things.

You can also use Notepad to create html pages with it.
