"Goodbye to Work"
The boxes are loaded into the car
The farewell lunch is eaten
The hugs and well wishes dispensed
And thus this chapter ends
As quietly as I arrived, as quietly as I left
Though I hope that the internet via email holds
some of those connections intact
But time and space away, ah the heart is fickle

That's nice and meditative, JS. I think I'd feel the same way if I was leaving a place I'd been at as long as you've been there.
Thank you so much for the fun poetry and good food last night! The company was awesome! I can see why you gals like Alt and hope that time will make her and I friends. See you in a few!
Hugs!
Ah, those fickle hearts: that's what blogs are for...
All your farewell (and travel) poems would make a nice chapbook.
I like "As quietly as I arrived, as quietly as I left..."
Were you and Wonder Woman already together when you arrived?
Peace/out, girl, and Happy Mother's Day to the two crowned mothers.
