Beautiful vision. Is the westward direction symbolic of the expansion direction the US took when it colonized, thus meaning growth? Because I've read a lot of desert fantasy I'm reminded of New Mexico, Nevada and other western states my parents took me through as a child. Wonder if Texas has a desert and if there are retreats to be held in it.
