Here's a poem I wrote about church today...
One Sunday
My daughter wears her Tinkerbelle wings to church
I comment that church gives you wings
People smile at her and tell her how adorable she looks
She sits down in the pew and takes off her wings unsmiling
The choir sings an anthem to God, a voice united for the congregation
My son sits on my lap and we sway together
With eyes closed, holding him tight to my chest, he plays with my hands
And giggles with glee at our holy play

JSD, I love those images. Really nice poem. Swaying with your son sounds like pure bliss. I kind of feel for your daughter. When you wear a great outfit and then have to make it less for some reason it can be a letdown. Take a spiritual hug from me for you and your family. Have a great week!
Peace, Hope and Joy!
Beautiful poem, JSD. One for the book?
We had a great time with y'all yesterday. Talk to you soon.

Lee, Thank You for the hug, ditto back. I'm glad you liked the poem.
Pat, Thank You, yeah - I think it's keeper. We really enjoyed y'all too. Look forward to talking to you.
